In a tragic incident that shook the community, a man has been arrested and is facing multiple charges after a fatal crash that claimed the life of a young woman leaving Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas. The incident occurred on Saturday morning at 6:58 a.m. on U.S. 95 in Clark County, Nevada.
According to Nevada State police, a 2019 Chevrolet Traverse was travelling at a high rate of speed when it rear-ended a 2020 Hyundai Elantra, causing both vehicles to veer off the road and overturn in a desert area near mile marker 99. The driver of the Chevrolet, 38-year-old Hetsel Campos, was arrested following the incident and is currently being held at the Clark County Detention Center. Campos is facing charges of driving under the influence (DUI), reckless driving, and failure to decrease speed or use due care. He is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday morning to face these charges.
In response to this devastating loss, a GoFundMe page has been set up to support Villegas’ family during this difficult time. Those who wish to contribute or offer their assistance can find more information on the fundraising page.
