A shocking incident has rocked Forsyth County, as a student from Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools is now facing charges after being caught on video slapping his teacher. The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office has reported that this disturbing incident took place in a classroom at Parkland High School. While the video of the assault is circulating on social media platforms, WXII has made the decision not to broadcast the footage. In the video, a student is seen standing over his seated teacher and slapping her in the face repeatedly.
Following this disgraceful act, a secure custody order was issued for the student this morning on multiple charges, including communicating threats and two counts of assault. In response to this incident, Tricia McManus, the Superintendent of Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools, has stated that such behaviour will not be tolerated. The principal of Parkland High School has also informed families that the student will face disciplinary action within the district.
Meanwhile, in Greensboro, a hit-and-run incident has left authorities searching for the driver responsible for striking and killing a pedestrian.
