The El Paso County Coroner has officially named the victim of a tragic stabbing incident that occurred on the southeast side of Colorado Springs on Sunday, April 14. The deceased has been identified as 65-year-old Frank Mason, a resident of Colorado Springs. While the cause and manner of death are yet to be determined by the coroner, the authorities are treating this case as a homicide.

The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) received a distress call on Sunday morning around 11:17 a.m. The officers rushed to the scene located on the 3600 block of Dundee Place, near the intersection of Airport Road and South Chelton Road. Upon arrival, they found Mr. Mason with multiple stab wounds, fighting for his life.
Despite the efforts of the officers to administer first aid, unfortunately, Mr. Mason succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The CSPD wasted no time in apprehending a suspect in connection with the crime. The alleged perpetrator has been identified as 32-year-old Alexander Brown, who reportedly lived in the same vicinity as the victim. Brown was arrested without any resistance and is currently being held at the El Paso County Jail, facing charges of First Degree Murder.
