Tragedy struck at the serene Kampung Sebat Waterfall in Sematan as the body of the last victim who drowned was discovered by members of the public at 7.16am today. The victim, identified as Vincent Tiong Kung Cheng, was found about 100 metres from where he was last seen, marking a heartbreaking end to the search efforts.

Lundu district police chief DSP Damataries Lautin confirmed the identification of Vincent’s body by his grief-stricken father at the scene. This somber discovery comes after the first victim, Steven Chai Pok Yee, was declared deceased at the scene by paramedics from Lundu Hospital.
Both Vincent and Steven hailed from Kota Samarahan, adding another layer of tragedy to the already heart-wrenching incident. The close-knit community mourns the loss of these young souls, taken too soon in a tragic turn of events.
