A serious traffic collision in Oxnard, California left a motorcyclist hospitalized with significant injuries after an unfortunate incident at the intersection of Third Street and Marquita Street. The incident occurred on Thursday, April 11, around 8:27 p.m., prompting a swift response from first responders who rushed to the scene.
Upon arrival, emergency personnel found the motorcyclist, identified as 50-year-old Antonio Magallanes, lying in the roadway with severe injuries. He was quickly transported to Ventura County Medical Center for urgent medical treatment, as confirmed by the Oxnard Police Department.
The driver of the other vehicle involved in the collision, a Honda Accord, was identified as Jorge Cruz Bautista. Thankfully, Bautista remained at the scene and cooperated fully with the ensuing investigation conducted by the authorities.
Preliminary findings suggest that Magallanes was travelling westbound on Third Street when the collision occurred at the intersection with Marquita Street.
