Teen Boy Charged with Sexual Assault and Threats in Prince Albert
A 16-year-old boy is facing a slew of charges after allegedly committing sexual assault and uttering threats against a 14-year-old girl in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.

On April 9, the Prince Albert Police received a disturbing report concerning the recent sexual assault and threats made towards a teenage girl. Following an investigation, the teenage boy was charged with sexual assault, uttering threats, and assault.
Arrest Warrant and Violation of Release Conditions
Police swiftly requested a warrant for the suspect’s arrest on Thursday, April 11. The same day, authorities attempted to locate the suspect at a residence in Prince Albert. It was discovered that the suspect was already on a court-ordered release with specific conditions, which he was found to be violating.
Additional Charges and Arrest
During a home check, it was revealed that the suspect had breached his release conditions, leading to further charges. On Friday, April 12, police responded to a call regarding a man breaking into vehicles in the 300 block of 12th Street East. The suspect was apprehended carrying a firearm, which he dropped and attempted to flee from the police. He was later arrested in the 500 block of 10th Street East, with a sawed-off shotgun and ammunition seized.
Legal Proceedings
The 16-year-old boy, who was identified as the suspect in all incidents, now faces an array of charges, including possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, tampering with a serial number, and firearm and ammunition possession while prohibited. He also stands accused of breaching his release order. The teenager remains in custody and made his initial court appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Friday.
