In a shocking development, a 37-year-old mathematics teacher in Sepang is currently under investigation for allegedly engaging in a sexual relationship with one of her 16-year-old students. The incident came to light after the student’s mother noticed red marks on his neck and promptly lodged a report with the police on December 12.

Details of the Incident

Sepang OCPD Asst Comm Wan Kamarul Azran Wan Yusof revealed that the student claimed to have been studying with the teacher at the library on the day of the incident. However, instead of heading home as planned, he was allegedly hugged and kissed by the teacher, resulting in the marks on his neck. The victim was promptly taken to the hospital for a medical evaluation.

Legal Action and Investigation

Authorities have initiated investigations under Section 14 of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017 for physical sexual assault on a child. Additionally, social media posts alleging sexual misconduct between a teacher and student have surfaced, prompting a thorough examination of the case.

ACP Wan Kamarul Azran affirmed that the investigation is ongoing, with statements being recorded from all relevant parties involved, including the teacher and student. The investigation paper will be finalized and forwarded to the deputy public prosecutor for further guidance.
