In a shocking incident that took place in Agar Malwa district in Madhya Pradesh, a passenger bus travelling on the National Highway between Susner and Soyat fell victim to a stone-pelting attack. The unidentified miscreants targeted the bus, which was en route from Indore to Delhi, causing chaos and injuring three passengers in the process.
The driver of the bus, identified as Govind Nath, a 40-year-old resident of Delhi, and a woman from Jhalawar bore the brunt of the attack, sustaining critical injuries. Both victims were promptly taken to the government hospital in Soyat Kalan for immediate medical attention and were later transferred to Jhalawar for further treatment.
The sheer audacity of the attackers is evident as they targeted a moving vehicle, shattering the bus’s windows with their stone pelting. However, the quick thinking and decisive action of the bus driver played a crucial role in preventing further harm to the passengers. Instead of stopping the bus in the midst of the attack, the driver continued driving until reaching a safe location before alerting the authorities by dialling 100.
Despite the gravity of the situation, the remaining passengers on the bus were able to continue their journey to Delhi late into the night, thanks to the driver’s swift actions. The local authorities at the Susner police station, led by in-charge Gagan Badal, have initiated an investigation into the incident. However, due to the absence of a formal complaint, the police are facing challenges in identifying and reaching out to the victims for further information.
The National Highway between Susner and Soyat, where the unfortunate incident occurred, is known for its heavy traffic flow and serves as a vital link between major cities like Indore and Delhi. The safety and security of passengers traveling on this route have been called into question following this brazen act of violence. As the investigation unfolds, authorities are working tirelessly to ensure that such incidents are not repeated in the future..
