Dow's 84-point climb led by gains for shares of Chevron, Goldman Sachs

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is climbing Tuesday morning with shares of Chevron and Goldman Sachs seeing positive gains for the blue-chip average. The Dow DJIA, -0.17% is trading 84 points (0.3%) higher, as shares of Chevron CVX, +2.32% and Goldman Sachs GS, +0.97% are contributing to the index’s intraday rally. Chevron’s shares have gained $2.40, or 1.4%, while those of Goldman Sachs have risen $3.80 (1.3%), combining for a roughly 41-point boost for the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the gain are Honeywell International Inc. HON, +0.74%, McDonald’s MCD, +0.75%, and Caterpillar CAT, +0.31%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the benchmark results in a 6.59-point swing.
