Dow drops nearly 200 points on losses in shares of Procter & Gamble, Coca-Cola

Shares of Procter & Gamble and Coca-Cola are retreating Tuesday afternoon, sending the Dow Jones Industrial Average into negative territory. Shares of Procter & Gamble PG, -3.56% and Coca-Cola KO, -3.17% are contributing to the index’s intraday decline, as the Dow DJIA, -0.68% was most recently trading 192 points lower (-0.6%). Procter & Gamble’s shares have fallen $5.01 (3.6%) while those of Coca-Cola have declined $1.88, or 3.1%, combining for an approximately 45-point drag on the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the decline are UnitedHealth UNH, -2.35%, Walt Disney DIS, -1.84%, and Johnson & Johnson JNJ, -2.00%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the Dow results in a 6.59-point swing.
