Boeing, Walt Disney share losses lead Dow's nearly 50-point drop

Dragged down by negative returns for shares of Boeing and Walt Disney, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is declining Thursday afternoon. The Dow DJIA, -0.47% was most recently trading 48 points, or 0.2%, lower, as shares of Boeing BA, -3.03% and Walt Disney DIS, -2.20% are contributing to the index’s intraday decline. Boeing’s shares have declined $3.49, or 2.5%, while those of Walt Disney have dropped $1.87 (1.7%), combining for a roughly 35-point drag on the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the decline are Caterpillar CAT, -1.13%, Nike NKE, -1.81%, and Goldman Sachs GS, -1.72%. A $1 move in any of the benchmark’s 30 components equates to a 6.59-point swing.
