Dow drops nearly 125 points on losses for shares of Caterpillar, Johnson & Johnson

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is declining Friday afternoon with shares of Caterpillar and Johnson & Johnson seeing the biggest losses for the index. The Dow DJIA, -0.35% was most recently trading 121 points, or 0.4%, lower, as shares of Caterpillar CAT, -2.10% and Johnson & Johnson JNJ, -1.65% are contributing to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday decline. Caterpillar’s shares are down $5.52 (2.5%) while those of Johnson & Johnson have declined $2.79 (1.7%), combining for a roughly 55-point drag on the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the decline include UnitedHealth UNH, -1.35%, Procter & Gamble PG, -1.12%, and Amgen Inc. AMGN, -0.95%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the Dow results in a 6.58-point swing.
